Isle of Wight Literary Festival
I have been a speaker for the past 2 years at the Isle of Wight Literary Festival, and was delighted to be asked back for 2016!
Here are some images of my Clifi Big Write event which took place at two different schools and two different year groups (8 and 9) over two days in Ryde and Newport.
Wee Write Children’s Literary Festival, Glasgow, March 2015
I gave a talk in March 2015 at the Wee Write Children’s Literature Festival in Glasgow, which forms part of the Aye Write annual event:
Finchley Literary Festival, May 2014
My first ever Literary Festival experience was as a speaker for the 2014 Finchley Literary Festival, which has a strong environmental theme running through it.
There was a great match between my SeaBEAN Trilogy and the aspirations of the festival, and I was invited to run a children’s creative writing workshop event to get young writers thinking about clifi and the ways in which climate change could drive a futuristic story. It was great fun, thanks to the fantastically imaginative and talented participants, who came to East Finchley Library to take part.
